Nana Ghonghadze is the Executive Director of the “Internet Development Initiative – IDI”. She leads IDI’s efforts to transform the organization’s vision into reality. Nana is an independent consultant specialized in Data Protection and Privacy Law. She advises international clients in relation to EU-GDPR compliance.
Nana received her LL.M. in Democratic Governance and Rule of Law, from Ohio Northern University – Pettit College of Law (USA). She also holds a M.A. in International Law with a concentration in International Business Law, from Georgian Institute of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Law from Tbilisi State University (Georgia).
Nana’s career spans both private and public sectors, including serving as a specialist of the legal office at LEPL State Agency for Religious Issues, where she conducted legal research and prepared comparative analysis on religious policies’ of various countries. Besides, Nana has worked for some of major local civil society organizations.
Nana is the co-founder and board member of not-for profit “Decent Generation”, an organization devoted to prevent psychological abuse in children. She also served as a legal advisor for the organization.
Nana is certified in advanced legal research, professional certificates awarded by LexisNexis, Bloomberg BNA and WestLaw. She is also an author and editor of number of articles and publications.
